OverviewExtropic is hiring a Semiconductor Device Modeling Engineer to help accelerate our hardware development. The ideal candidate would be someone with an extensive background in device process development and device modeling. A deep understanding of semiconductor device physics is essential for this role. The candidate should have a PhD in device physics.

ExperienceExperience in semiconductor CMOS process development, process integration and manufacturingExperience in semiconductor device physicsExperience in characterizing and modeling semiconductor devicesUnderstanding of the physical mechanisms that cause leakage currents or noise contributorsUnderstanding of noise sources and mechanisms that contribute to thermal, flicker and shot noiseDesign and layout of device modeling test structuresExperience with use of hardware and software for measurement and parameter extractionDefinition and execution of device characterization test plans including static and pulsed I-V, C-V, CW and pulsed bias S-parameter, load/source-pull, and noise measurementAnalysis of parametric test data, collection and analysis of modeling device data, extraction of device compact modelsDevelopment of advanced device model formulations and model extraction algorithmsExperience with multi-physics simulations especially for electromagnetic and electro-thermal analysisExperience with scripting languages like Python

Salary: $120,000 - $300,000 a year. Salary and equity compensation will vary with experience.
