Administers company-wide benefit plans to include health, dental, vision, 401 K, life, short and long-term disability through the enrollment/termination and billing reconciliation.Coordinates the benefit enrollment process at the time of hire and other eligibility points, including annual open enrollment and life events.Responds to all employee requests and questions regarding benefit plans, coverage, and policies.Manages leave administration to include but not limited to FMLA, personal leave, disability, and ADA accommodations. Keeps accurate and up-to-date employee records and reporting documentation around leave administration.Works closely with benefit carriers and brokers to troubleshoot problems and find resolutions.Coordinates the transfer of data to external contacts for services and premiums. Reviews, audits, and reconciles benefits enrollment information each month with each carrier and correct enrollment data as needed.Reviews monthly vendor invoices, verifies the accuracy of billing, proactively resolves billing discrepancies, and functions as a liaison between vendor and accounts payable.Responsible for the Employee Recognition Program and Employee Engagement activities in conjunction with the HR Manager.Conducts new employee benefit orientation and maintains the supply of the orientation materials.Responsible for the accuracy of trackers, employee status reports, and compliance reporting for MSDE, EEO, ACA, and any other regulatory component.Implements compliance with State and Federal laws including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, DOL, and other applicable regulations.Collaborates with HR management to continually improve the HR department processes and functions for the continued efficiency of the department.May assist with recruiting the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions and collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.Responsible for completing the pre-employment compliance with regulatory requirements such as criminal background investigations, drug screening, credentialing, reference checks, and verification education for all candidates.Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.May participate in grievance investigations and employee relations matters.Qualifications
