Senior Accountant Opportunity - highly acquisitive industry leader!

Overview Our client is a national leader in automotive collision repair, and they are seeking a Senior Accountant to play a key role on the continued build-out of their accounting function. The company itself is well-established and has been around for over 20 years; recent investment funding has sparked huge growth and made it possible for the company to focus of developing its team and processes. This is a newly created role due to the growth the company is experiencing. What’s exciting about the opportunity is that you will see a ton of variety in your day-to-day tasks. As the Senior Accountant, you will work closely with general ledger management, budgeting & forecasting, internal controls, audit support, financial reporting, and process improvement. The company has around 500 locations nationwide, has acquired 300 locations in the last ~5 years, and is approximately $3 billion in revenue! Responsibilities: Oversee the general ledger and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded. Conduct regular account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor annual budgets. Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts. Implement and monitor internal control procedures to safeguard company assets. Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. Coordinate and support internal and external audits. Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices. Streamline accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Provide meaningful variance analysis and insights to senior management. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Accounting or Finance Strong communicator, capable of working with peers and senior management Strong analytical thinker Independent, self-starter that works well in team environment Capable of quickly adapting to change Proficiency in MS Office products – intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel Strong attention to detail Deep understanding of internal controls and segregation of duties Ability to work cross functionally and act as a liaison with all levels or organization and external business partnerships Ability to adapt in fast-paced environments Debt/Lender management preferred Previous private equity experience a plus
