Senior Staff Accountant

The Association Forum has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned finance/accounting professional! The newly defined Senior Staff Accountant is a critical contributor to the financial management of Association Forum. This position is an effective executor, an inclusive relationship builder, and a strategic thinker within the organization, maintaining controls of financial transactions and managing the tactical accounting functions.
Success of the Senior Staff Accountant will be measured in the following areas:
General Accounting
Maintain accounting systems, procedures, and methods, including recordkeeping, accounts reporting and general ledger. Prepare monthly allocation schedules for direct expenses, including employee benefits, administrative and operation costs, etc. Accurately post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records in a timely manner. Prepare monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliation and account analysis. Generate monthly financial statements, including, review and distribution of financial statement packages. Support the preparation and maintenance of annual budgets. Develop and maintain monthly budgets and forecasting projections. Support the relationship with Association Forum auditors. Maintain routine cash flow report, recommending payments due. Manage banking relationships. Support and participate in finance committee and Board calls.
Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Payroll and Benefits
Process payroll (Paycom) Timely transfer of 401k contributions Monitor benefit accruals, process payment of invoices
For consideration, candidates must possess the following:
5 years related experience in an Association or non-profit environment Bachelor’s degree, CPA preferred Advanced MS Office user Solomon Accounting System experience Paycom or other payroll processing system experience Volunteer management experience preferred Association Forum is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
