nDepth is currently seeking a Systems Engineer with an active TS/SCI with Poly to join our team in the Hanover, MD area. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.Responsibilities:Administration and optimization of existing hosts and servers to ensure a high degree of availability and appropriate resource management. Research, recommend and implement strategies and hardware and software products to build upon a highly complex infrastructure that supports the changing needs of our customer. The systems engineer will design, develop, integrate and maintain complex systems for every stage of a lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be able to reliably deliver mission-critical infrastructure with an eye toward accessibility, optimization, and security.Here’s what you’ll need:Active TS/SCI with PolygraphFourteen (14) years’ experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.Experience installing, configuring and maintaining VMWare products including, but not limited to ESXi, vCenter, VSAN and NSX.Experience installing, configuring and maintaining VDI environments, specifically VMWare Horizon View.Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining physical and virtual Windows and Linux servers and desktops.Experience with networking concepts such as routing, switching, encryption, and firewalls.Experience with TCP/IP networking, networking architecture, and its interrelation to desktops, servers, and operating systems.Experience with packet capture and network analysis tools.Experience with network security principles, threats, and vulnerabilities.Experience with monitoring solutions and datacenter operations.Understanding of Software Defined Networking & Micro-segmentation.System Engineers must be able to successfully demonstrate the following capabilities:
Implement operational view, technical standard view, and system and services view for architecting application DoDAF standards.Review and/or approve system engineering documentation to ensure that processes and specifications meet system needs accurately, comprehensively, and completely.Capture all interface designs in a command interface control format and store interface data in a commonly accessible repository.Assess each risk to the program and determine the probability of occurrence and quantified consequence of failure in accordance with an approved risk management plan.Prepare time-line analysis diagrams illustrating the flow of time-dependent functions.Support the planning and test analysis of the DoD Certification/Accreditation Process (as well as other Government Certification and Accreditation (C&A) Process).Support the development and review of Joint Capability Integration Development Systems (JCIDS) documents (i.e. Initial Capability Document, Capabilities Description Document, IA Strategy).Develop scenarios (threads) and an Operational Concepts that describes the interactions between the system, the user, and the environment, that satisfies operational, support, maintenance, and disposal needs.Conduct quantitative analysis in non-functional systems performance such as Reliability, Maintainability, Vulnerability, Survivability, and Produce ability, etc.
