Improving Health Care through Medical EducationAnesthesiology Residency Program DirectorAustin, TXDescription:St. David’s HealthCare is seeking a full-time program director to assist with the development and lead our new Anesthesiology residency program in Austin, TX.Provider will be employed with NAPA, working both in the HCA/St. David’s GME program and with NAPA providing anesthesia services.Requirements:Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency prior to start dateABA board-eligible or board-certifiedExperience must include specialty expertise and at least three years of documented educational and/or administrative experience, preferably in an undergraduate and/or graduate medical education environmentExperience must include ongoing clinical activityBe willing to combine administrative and didactic (teaching) responsibilitiesHave strong administrative and team building skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsCandidates with recent scholarly activity – such as peer-reviewed funding, publication of original research or review articles in peer-reviewed journals, chapters in textbooks, publication or presentation of case reports or clinical series at scientific society meetings, or participation in national committees or educational organizations – are highly encouraged to apply
