The Automotive Sales Manager oversees the sales activities of a dealership, either personally or through subordinate supervisors. They play a crucial role in driving revenue by managing salespeople, setting objectives, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties: Staff Management:
Hires, trains, motivates, and monitors the performance of salespeople. Sales Programs:
Directs sales staffing and training to enhance sales programs. Sales Goals:
Establishes annual and monthly objectives for unit sales, gross profits, expenses, and operating profit. Inventory Management:
Orders/acquires new and used vehicle inventory. Market Analysis:
Reviews market analyses and sales reports to determine customer needs and volume potential. Liaison:
Serves as a liaison between the sales department and other departments. Budget Control:
Analyzes and controls expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements. Customer Engagement:
Promotes new and used vehicles, ensuring professional customer interactions. Requirements
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (typically 2-10 years in related roles). Language Skills:
