The Accounting Area in the Orfalea College of Business at Cal Poly is creating a pool of eligible part-time law lecturers for possible assignments during the Summer, Fall, Winter, and/or Spring Quarters of the 2024-2025 academic year to teach business law and the legal, regulatory, and political environment of business. Assignments will be contingent upon budget and enrollments.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSJD from an AALS accredited law school with successful completion of a state bar required; license to practice law must be current. Must demonstrate a strong teaching record and currency in professional field.SPECIAL CONDITIONSThe person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.Following a conditional offer of employment, a background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate may start work with Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo will not sponsor an H-1B for this position.HOW TO APPLYFor full consideration, please attach a cover letter, resume/CV, unofficial transcripts, license, diversity statement, and teaching effectiveness to your online faculty application.
