Join us.Barbaricum is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer for the MuTC (Muscatatuck Training Center) Cyber Program. The Senior Network Engineer plays a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the network infrastructure of the MuTC Cyber Program.This individual is responsible for leading efforts in planning, development, implementation, problem resolution, and administration of the network. Serving as a technical expert, the Senior Network Engineer will guide network system policy, strategic planning, and the development of long and short-range plans. This role involves making recommendations based on an analysis of current capabilities and alternative solutions, participating in the development of technology roadmaps, and ensuring alignment with the strategic goals and policies of the division.Responsibilities

Take primary responsibility for managing the cyber program's network, ensuring efficient operation and addressing any issues that arise.Develop network policies and engage in both short and long-range planning based on comprehensive analysis and strategic objectives.Serve as a technical expert on network system policy and planning, offering recommendations for network systems engineering improvements.Lead efforts in problem identification and resolution within the network infrastructure, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.Participate in the development of technology roadmaps and strategies to address complex network challenges.Provide enterprise network engineering and support for a campus area network type facility, including policy and procedure development.Work with wireless infrastructure supporting 802.11x , 4G, 3G, and 2G technologies to support the MUTC Wireless Network.Configure and manage Joint Information Operations Range (JIOR) and Joint Training and Experimentation Network (JTEN) nodes.Communicate with outside training organizations to understand and implement their network requirements for training exercises.Qualifications

Must possess an DoD active TS/SCI Clearance.Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in Network Operations.Certification: Meet Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2 requirements of DODD 8570.1M .Minimum 10 years of experience in network configuration and operation, preferably in cyber range or computer test-bed environments.Demonstrated expertise in designing and configuring computer networks, including routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, VPNs, and VLANs across both bare metal and virtualized systems.Experience in the configuration and management of physical and virtual network switches, routers, and cryptographic devices.Expertise in the use of the Cypherpath virtualization platform is highly desired.
