JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for recruiting and admitting first-year, transfers, international, and graduate students into the University.

Director of Undergraduate Admissions

SALARY INFORMATION:

In compliance with New York’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $57,400 - $62,400. Adelphi University considers factors such as departmental budgets, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. An annual base salary higher than the range may be warranted in circumstances where a candidate has demonstrable equivalent prior higher education experience at another University.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Serve as key point of contact and guide students through the application and admission process and provide information on program/admission requirements.

Evaluate completed applications for decision and corresponding credit evaluations.

Represent Adelphi University at high school and college visits, internal and external admissions events, presentations, and college fairs locally and nationally.

Build relationships with school counselors, administrators, and other external constituents.

Act as liaison with various campus partners and departments of assigned signature and special programs.

Deliver information sessions and student-centered workshops to various audiences in person and virtually.

Collaborate with campus partners (one-stop shop student services center, advising, and academic departments) to provide exceptional service to prospective and incoming students throughout the enrollment process.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to build and develop relationships.

Ability to speak in public spaces to small and large groups.

Ability to be organized and pay attention to detail.

Ability to prioritize workload according to volume, urgency, etc.

Ability to critically think and use data to inform decisions.

Ability to work remotely and utilize digital tools.

Knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work evening hours and weekends.

Ability to drive and travel to locations in recruiting area(s). (Must have a valid driver’s license)

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience as a transfer student or working with transfer students.

One to two years of related/transferable experience is preferred.

Bilingual or multilingual preferred.
