THE BLYTHE-ZACHRY JOINT VENTURE TEAM IS HIRING EXPERIENCED READY MIX CONCRETE TRUCK DRIVERS IN GAFFNEY, SC ON THE I-85 PROJECT.
General Description.
A Ready Mix Concrete Truck Driver candidate must have at least 2 year of experience driving Concrete Truck with a Class A or B CDL.
Key Duties
A professional commercial vehicle driver while transporting our product to the job site(s) on rotating day and night shifts.An equipment operator during the process of loading and discharging concrete.Completes proper wash outs in designated areas after completed pours at job sites and upon returning to yard from field operations.Maintains the highest standard of quality and safety in all aspects of the job.As a driver/operator you will operate an 80,000 Lb. ready mix truck in the timely transportation of ready mix concrete to and from destinations.Load, unload and secure as needed.When a driver returns from a delivery, he/she is required to wash down the truck to clean off excess concrete on the truck or in the barrel. Washing requires using a hose and climbing on the truck approximately 10-15 times per day.Prepare, receive and provide appropriate documentation.This is a physically demanding position and requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, several times per day.When there is inclement weather or lack of concrete deliveries scheduled and the trucks do not leave the yard, there are times when the drivers are asked to do sweeping and shoveling at the plant. This happens as often as there is consistent rain and/or snow.Qualification Requirements

A Tanker Endorsement is requiredA Hazmat Endorsement is preferred but not requiredA valid Class A or B CDL License is required.Must have a clean criminal and MVR background.Must pass a DOT Physical and drug screen.At least 2-3 years Ready Mix Driving Experience
Physical Demands.
The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by a Truck Driver - Ready Mix Concrete to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Constant physical effort, including standing, is required during a regular work shift of at least eight hours per day. Employee must be able to stand for extended periods of time, and to stoop, bend, and crouch as required to perform Key Duties.Frequently work with hands extended overhead, sometimes in conjunction with the operation of hand power tools.Ability to lift, on a frequent basis, at least 50 pounds and carry at least 30 pounds personally, and up to 150 pounds with assistance.Manual dexterity to hand-carry generators, lumber and other construction materials, forms, power tools, and hand tools.Maintain constant alertness to the multiple concurrent activities of the construction site, including the activities of other employees and contractors, the operation of stationary equipment, and the movement of mobile equipment.Frequently walk on uneven surfaces, including natural ground in varying weather conditions.Capable of safely and productively operating a man-lift.The Operator must be able to climb on and off heavy mobile equipment safely.Work Environment.
The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those that a Truck Driver - Ready Mix Concrete encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions.Work environment periodically exposes the employees to high levels of noise, grease, and dust that is typically associated with a construction project.Employee regularly works near heavy equipment and moving machinery.Work may involve a variety of substances commonly found on construction sites or equipment shop such as form oil, grease, curing compounds, gasoline, diesel fuel, concrete and asphalt.Company Benefits
