DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Tech Services Specialist to join our High Performance Doors team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for our high-performance door solutions, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems, electrical systems, and software integration.
Provide technical support to customers and internal teams on high-performance door solutions, including troubleshooting, repair, and maintenanceOccasionally perform on-site visits to diagnose and resolve technical issues with high-performance doors and related systemsCollaborate with other departments to resolve technical issues and implement solutionsLog calls related to customer inquiries, technical issues, or service requests in a timely and accurate manner using our CRM systemIf site visit is required develop and maintain detailed reports of work performed, including documentation of issues, repairs, and maintenance activitiesStay up-to-date with new technologies and products in the high-performance door industry, staying ahead of the curve in terms of technical knowledge and skillsDevelop and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeding their expectationsCollaborate with the operations team to optimize door performance, reducing downtime and improving overall efficiencyTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to high-performance doors, including mechanical, electrical, and software components
Work closely with design engineers to develop new products and improve existing ones
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
3+ years of experience in a technical role related to high-performance doors or similar mechanical/electrical systemsStrong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and software integrationExperience with automation systems and controls preferredExcellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issuesStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal teamsAbility to work at heights (up to 50 feet) and in confined spaces (as required)Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting up to 50 pounds (as required)Valid driver's license (if applicable)
Nice-to-Have: * Experience with CAD design software (e.g. AutoCAD) * Knowledge of industry-specific standards and regulations (e.g. ASME, NFPA) * Familiarity with commissioning and testing procedures for high-performance doors
