DescriptionLeidos is actively hiring for a Software Engineer to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO.Looking for a change. Leidos has opportunities in the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Missile Defense mission areas. The work includes trade studies, system engineering, model based system engineering, portfolio analysis, software development demonstration and product testing and deployment to Cheyenne Mountain. Leidos is focused on finding the best people, processes, and tools that will provide solutions in data integration and fusion, data analytics, data mining, predictive analytics, data visualization, and decision support tools.This position will report directly to the Chief Architect.Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain mission-critical software in support of missile defense systemsDocument and communicate proposed software solutions with integrated, cross-functional engineering teams in a fast paced highly technical environmentStay up-to-date on state-of-the-art programming techniques and software technologiesParticipate in software design and code reviews to ensure delivery of quality products and enhance skill setsAbility to create software solutions utilizing established industry standardsWork with System Engineering Team to schedule, synchronize and execute demonstration capabilities to customersWork with third-party contractors and stakeholders on any potential regression coding due to deployment delaysDevelop Class and Sequence Diagrams in UML to align with modular design patternsRedesign existing software components to allow containerization of the applicationsIdentify components which do not comply with the modularity rules and work with the developers and customer to aid in bringing the component into complianceBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s with 4 to 6 years of experienceCurrently possess Secret clearanceExperience coding in C++ and JavaExperience developing micro-services and working with containerizationAbility to work independently and as part of an engineering teamAbility to convey technical ideas in a clear, logical fashionAbility to work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneouslyExperience with agile software development processPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in associated fieldExperience with missile warning and missile defenseUnderstanding of missile warning message typesOriginal Posting Date:

Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00
