On behalf of our client, a Global 50 consulting firm, we are recruiting for a Senior VPN Analyst to provide operational support for VPN access on F5 platforms.The primary objective of this position is to provide operational support to the Remote Access VPN Management Service which provides 24x7 VPN support to global members/offices. The position works closely with other corporate groups and vendors to provide exceptional customer support. The VPN Analyst role requires skills that enable the individual to deliver a high level of service and to meet the expectation from the business of a highly available agile infrastructure. Strong communication skills, combined with a knowledge of core, specialized and technical competencies is required, along with a very solid understanding of an enterprise IT infrastructure operational environment, adhering to industry best practice.Primary Responsibilities Include:Provide operational support for remote access VPN & DDI Services.24x7 device monitoring, operation and management. First responder to monitored alerts, incidents and issues. Monitoring, and troubleshooting of F5 BIG-IP LTMs and APM modules.Monitoring, and troubleshooting of Infoblox Grid.Perform changes, analysis and clean-up as requested by firms.Provide visibility and insight to assist customers with related services usage information.Track and evaluate security alerts. Follow through with firm and vendor resources to close out availability, performance, and security incidents. Coordinate, triage, and troubleshoot activities with customers.Ensure services and systems are always available and reliable. Respond to and manage service issues and problems.Responsible for awareness and compliance to policy and guidelines of the ISMS.Report, pursue, communicate, and when needed escalate any breaches in information security or policies.Able to coordinate and work with on-site engineers during outage or critical situations.Adhere to established incident management SLA and SLOs. Able to document troubleshooting/process related documents for the team.Able to communicate and work with customers and peers in different time zone and countries. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to easily analyze and communicate complex ideas to all levels of management.QualificationsTechnical skills:Knowledge of F5 LTM (Local traffic manager) and APM (Access Policy Monitor) Modules.Experience working with Infoblox (DDI platform).Knowledge of Checkpoint, Palo Alto and Cisco remote access VPN technologies is a plus.Knowledge of F5 DNS will be an added advantage.Knowledge of LAN/WAN and network protocols.Knowledge of monitoring tools and commands to ensure quick resolution to issues.Knowledge of F5 BIG IQ management platform is a plus.Knowledge of server technologies is a plus.Knowledge of virtual technologies is a plus.Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Active Directory.Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.Must be able to easily analyze and communicate complex ideas to all levels of management.Sensitivity and cultural awareness is essential as the role will involve contact with a variety of people around the globe.Discipline and experience in recognizing and handling confidential and sensitive information.Excellent time management and attention to detail is essential.Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment.
