Responsibilities
Grow Your Skills, Grow Your PotentialAPI, data, & horizontal services team for the Auto Quote & Purchase product, the sales app for Auto private passenger policies to new customers - key to meeting our enterprise priority on the most critical, complex, and distributed applications in the department. In addition to supporting many production services and assets, the team is also focused on public cloud migration: developing new standalone applications on AWS, planning/refactoring data pipelines, in collaboration with teams across software, data, governance, and infrastructure area.The candidate will be tasked with:Triaging issues/gaps within our tools/services and coming up with creative solutions to solve the issues/gaps.Working with Senior, Staff and Principal Engineers on issues/enablement ideas with a focus on implementing solutions.Working closely with product teams to understand their issues in the development lifecycle and coming up with creative ways to help reduce/eliminate these issues.Creative mindset and ok with working in grey.Self-motivated and likes challenging work.Passion for learning, team player, and builds relationships.Engaged and not afraid to speak up.Solid communication skills both written and verbal.Qualifications
Competitive candidates must have the following skills:Object Oriented Programming Principles (Python/Java)Web Development (React/Angular/Ember)Strong Scripting experience (JavaScript/HTML/CSS)Database management (SQL/MongoDB/DynamoDB)Version Control systems (Git)SFARM Software Engineer
