As one of our first Mid-Market AMs, you’ll drive expansion by initiating evaluations with our current customers/prospects focusing on departments we aren't currently in, as well as getting to CMOs and CIOs who are thinking about their larger strategy for generative AI. You’ll need to be able to map complex organizations to identify where Writer could add value, break into new lines of business, understand our customers’ objectives to tie what we do to business value, and have an evangelistic spirit.
Your positivity, sense of curiosity, business acumen, and ability to create champions from early adopters in the AI writing space will help shape our entire culture. If you have a builder mentality, this is the role for you.

????️ Your responsibilitiesBecome an expert in the wide range of use cases in which Writer can drive business transformation across different industriesMap complex organizations to identify the most promising areas of focusDemonstrate how generative AI can further leaders’ most important business initiativesDevelop a deep understanding of our users and why they are exploring WriterBecome a trusted product specialist, educating users on how to set up Writer to unlock value, going hands-on where neededGuide prospects through trials with clear criteria for success; pull in key stakeholders early and help the team reach Buy consensusLead champions through their internal budgeting, legal, security, and procurement processes
️ Is this you?6+ years in a B2B SaaS closing role, currently focused on 1000+ FTE companies; extra points for experience selling to leadership in marketing, product, IT at Fortune 500 companies.Proven ability to successfully cross-sell and expand within large accounts.Ability to map accounts and proactively drive self-sourced expansion by initiating evaluations with departments we aren't currently in, as well as getting to CMOs and CIOs who are thinking about their larger strategy for generative AIDemonstrable, consistent performance meeting and exceeding quotaExperience helping prospects build a business case to secure executive sponsorshipExperience with value-based selling (but still know the product almost as well as CS )Experience working with legal, security, and/or procurement teams to win dealsStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong sales process: you're thoughtful about how to make sales repeatable for yourselfComfortable asking the tough questions, working cross-departmentally, and working under high pressureRecord of building strong and lasting customer relationshipsExtremely organized and self-motivated; a detailed note-takerSelf-starter; we’re well ahead of most companies at our stage, but we’re still building parts of the plane as we fly it.
