To date, we have served over 750,000 people from around the globe.Attracting and retaining the best talent is vital to our continued growth and we are proud to offer an excellent benefits package including:Medical, dental, and vision available on the first day of employment.Generous paid time off including 20 days of vacation, 12 days of sick leave, 12 paid holidays.12 weeks of fully paid parental leave and up to 12 weeks of fully paid FMLA leave.Company 403(b) contribution of 3%, an additional 7% match which vests immediately.Family Building benefits for reproductive procedures, adoption/foster care assistance.An annual wellness benefit that can be customized to support your personal needs including funding enrichment classes, gym memberships, and healthy eating plans.DUTIESPay all Global Refuge department-related invoices and assist with LCC inter-agency billing.Maintain vendor accounts (e.g., BGE, Verizon, Iron Mt, UPS, Shred It).Fire Marshall, CPR/First Aid/AED coordinator.Maintain Links and all related business operations documents/folders with pertinent information.Assist with procurement functions.Assist the Director of Business Operations with facilities management and serve as the point person for on-site issues or emergencies.Manage and monitor all aspects of maintenance (preventive, corrective, and scheduled).Troubleshoot and coordinate all office equipment repairs.Maintain organization of storage cages including stock of general supplies and distribution.Administer new staff orientations, rules and policies, and equipment training as required.Assist as requested for GR-sponsored meetings and conferences.Manage the online ticketing system for work orders at all locations.Manage the online scheduling space reservation system.Manage the document retention and destruction of GR documentation in line with the GR Document Destruction and Retention Policy.Assist in assuring responsive contingency planning for personnel safety and security both in emergencies and regularly.Assist with new hire setup and staff off-boarding including space allocation, operations setup, and office supplies as needed.Assist the Director of Business Operations and Procurement Officer with strategic planning within the department, operational guidelines, process development, and special projects.Back up for mailroom and front desk.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.Excellent interpersonal skills and attendance records, with the ability to work independently.Ability to work in the office at the Baltimore Headquarters 5 days per week and travel to local offices in the DMV area as needed.Attention to detail; excellent organizational skills to coordinate multiple projects and manage multiple deadlines.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Experience with and commitment to working in a very diverse workforce.Creativity to try new ideas and initiative to execute projects with minimal supervision.Commitment to Global Refuge's core mission and values.Global Refuge is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package in an innovative and rewarding work environment.
