The College of Arts, Sciences, and Education at Montana State University Northern (MSUN) invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Psychology position, anticipated to begin on August 1, 2024.

This is an academic year (10-month), full-time, tenure-track position. Primarily a teaching institution, MSUN offers rich interdisciplinary teaching opportunities at the undergraduate and graduate levels. This position is responsible for the development and instruction of foundational psychology courses and select criminal justice and related courses. Additional duties and responsibilities of this position include participating in scholarship and service activities; participating in program development; and assisting with student recruitment, retention, and progression efforts.Duties and Responsibilities

Doctoral degree in Psychology or Criminology by August 1, 2024College teaching experienceDemonstrated ability to work with diverse populationsDemonstrated engagement with student success initiativesExcellent interpersonal skillsPreferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

Experience teaching online and utilizing other delivery modes of instructionDemonstrated mentoring of undergraduate studentsTeaching or applied work in Criminal Justice, Cross-cultural Psychology, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, or Community LeadershipPsychology doctoral degree from an APA-accredited programEvidence of scholarly activitySpecial Requirements
