Associate Pastor - Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church - Oak Park

and is comfortable using all methods of electronic, as well as traditional forms of communication, to reach the wide age range of our congregation and communityThe Associate Pastor would be responsible for the following:Community Outreach and Engagement

Develop strategy and activities to reach the community and neighborhood and to engage all members more deeply in the life of the churchPlan and implement communication strategy including print and social media engagement, working closely with co-pastors and staffLead new member orientation process and volunteer engagement effortsCollaborate with Community Outreach and Engagement CommitteeYouth and Young Adult Ministry

Plan, implement, and supervise all aspects of the middle school and high school youth ministries, including Sunday School, Wednesday evening programming, special events, and worship engagementLead youth events throughout the year, including the weeklong Senior High Mission Trip each summerEngage young adults in the church community and keep college students connected to Fair OaksCollaborate with Children and Youth CommitteeCongregational Activities

Plan, implement, and supervise congregational activities for relationship building and connection including annual events such as the Thanksgiving Feast, Chili Supper, Progressive Dinner, and Block PartyDevelop opportunities for all ages and demographics in the church to have fun, being mindful of accessibility and variety of activitiesCollaborate with the Congregational Activities CommitteeOther Responsibilities

Work with co-pastors, ruling elders, and lay leaders to create/guide the vision and strategy for the churchSupport co-pastors to ensure proper administration of the churchParticipate in worship and leadership of word and sacraments; preach ~12 times per yearParticipate in all Session meetings; represent FOPC at all Presbytery meetingsTeach Adult Ed or Bible Study as neededPreside over funerals and weddings as requestedHow To Apply:
