Position: Japanese Bilingual Tax Specialist - Remote

A global business consulting firm is looking for a Japanese Bilingual Payroll Specialist. This position is fully remote but preferably for candidates residing in California, New York, Texas, Washington, or Tennessee. In this position, you will play a critical role in ensuring the clients' tax compliance and minimizing their tax liabilities. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including preparing and filing federal, state, and local tax returns, researching tax law, and representing clients during audits.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to:

Communicate with corporate clients to gather and review financial records, income statements, and expenditures.Develop and implement tax-saving strategies to optimize clients' tax positions.Prepare, review, and file accurate tax returns at the federal, state, and local levels.Ensure the accuracy and completeness of tax returns prepared by team members, including complex returns.Manage estimated tax payments, state apportionments, and tax extensions for clients.Guide clients through IRS regulations and ensure adherence to all tax obligations.Participate in client meetings to answer questions, review returns, research complex tax issues, and collaborate on tax planning strategies.Represent clients professionally before the IRS and other tax agencies as necessary.Provide ongoing tax support to clients and address inquiries related to tax notices.Stay up-to-date on the latest tax law changes through research and training.Manage tax software and oversee the implementation of new features and updates.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff on the team about various tax topics.Other duties assigned by Management.Qualifications:

Bilingual Japanese and English skills (Japanese: reading, writing and speaking)Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or Taxation, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.Minimum 3-5 years of experience in preparing corporate and personal income tax returns at a consulting, accounting, or outsourcing firm.Previous experience with Lacerte or similar tax software.Strong knowledge in corporate and personal tax planning and compliance, tax accounting, and financial reporting, including tax provision preparation, audit, and review.Certified Public Accounting (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) license highly preferred.Benefits:
