The Director of Food and Beverage is responsible for overseeing the overall success of all food and beverage operations within the hotel, including banquets, catering, restaurants, bars, in-room dining, club lounges, and minibars. This role requires effective communication and collaboration with other departments to ensure seamless transitions and achieve budgeted financial results.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead food and beverage operations to ensure excellent guest experiences
Support and develop management and hourly staff
Develop and implement an operating strategy aligned with the hotel's business goals
Manage menus, inventory, and expenses to ensure profitability
Coordinate with sales and events teams to meet group requirements
Schedule and manage staff to meet business demands and budget
Drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies
Participate in marketing meetings and creative programming initiatives
Collaborate with leadership to improve guest satisfaction scores and address areas for improvement
Contribute to budgeting processes and P&L reviews
Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service at all times
Recruit, train, and develop food and beverage staff
Conduct performance evaluations and handle disciplinary actions when necessary
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role in a luxury hospitality setting
Beverage certification preferred
Supervisory, coaching, and staff development experience
Strong written, verbal, and communication skills in English
Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance
Ability to stand, walk, write, lift, bend, climb, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
