The right candidate will be an experienced expert in real estate and commercial litigation, focusing solely on litigation tasks without business development duties. Responsibilities: • Conduct initial consultations with clients to provide expert advice on legal matters' strengths and challenges. • Supervise and manage a caseload of litigation cases, ensuring consistent progress toward resolution and keeping clients regularly informed. • Offer clear guidance and supervision to support staff such as legal assistants and paralegals, ensuring responsibility for assigned tasks. • Prepare various legal documents including pleadings, motions, and necessary paperwork, and conduct thorough legal research when necessary. • Advocate for clients in court hearings, presenting cases in Circuit and County Court with a deep understanding of the trial process. • Achieve a monthly revenue goal rather than a billable hour quota. Qualifications: • The ideal candidate for the Commercial Litigation Attorney position in Vero Beach, FL, US should either be a solo practitioner currently or have a substantial caseload at a large law firm. They should be seeking increased autonomy and work-life balance. • Previous experience in litigation is a must for this role. While real estate and commercial litigation experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. • Salary will be determined based on experience and the portability of the candidate's book of business, but having a portable book of business is not a strict requirement. • Proficiency in handling cases from initiation to completion in both County and Circuit Court is essential for this role. • Direct experience working with clients, especially in a legal capacity, is highly valued. • The candidate will need to attend regular meetings with a Managing Attorney and Support Staff for case updates and departmental discussions. • Initially, the role will be in-office with a potential transition to a hybrid work setup, which is non-negotiable. Compensation: $120,000 - $200,000 yearly
