A four-year college degree, one to two years of employment in Convention Services. Must possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to multi-task. Ability to make quick decisions based on established policies and procedures. Ability to make logical conclusions and recommendations to clients.Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are never limited to:Receives group files from Sales Team and reviews them for accuracy and thoroughness.Provide initial written communication with client once file is received and maintain contact with client on a regular basis to build a relationship.Manage and monitor group room blocks and pick up, send client rooming lists weekly.Assist clients with menu planning, food and beverage coordination.Maintain accuracy of conference management information in Delphi.Prepare group resumes containing details of all reservations, billing, Banquet Event Order information, off-site events and amenities for VIPs.Create, update and make changes to Banquet Event Orders. Confirm guest count and changes from clients to support departments.Create floor plans for events to ensure banquets and clients are in agreement prior to set-up.Ensure all event details are properly communicated to support departments in a timely and efficient manner.Walk all meeting space to ensure proper set up and all requirements per the Banquet Event Orders are ready for client.Ensure meeting signage and event boards are accurate.Meet and Greet on-site contacts and confirm meeting, break and meal arrangements for the day.Provide outstanding customer service to clients while they are in the hotel to ensure total guest satisfaction.Initiate billing procedures, ensuring deposits, pre-payments and final payments are all processed in a timely manner. Review and provide final bill to customer upon completion of program.Assist in building strong relations with other hotel departments, employees, and outside agencies and vendors.Comply with hotel's Standard Code of Conduct and all other regulations established by management and Employee Handbook.Be completely knowledgeable of hotel's emergency procedures as instructed by hotel management.Lead the Wit experience as instructed by the hotel leaders.Celebrate our culture of individualism, engagement, having fun and evolving the Wit experience for every guest every time.Represent the hotel in a positive manner at all times.ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:Communicate in the primary language of the hotel.Be able to work 45 - 55 hours in a week when necessary, including weekends and holidays.A four-year college degree, two years of employment in Conference Services.Show off the proper uniform/dress at all times and be well groomed.Strong computer skills required.
