Position Responsibilities:
As a Senior Database Developer on the MADSS program, you will use your expertise and experience in the following areas and activities to deliver solutions and services to our customer:
Evaluating/Troubleshooting SQL queries and stored procedures for optimal performancePerforming daily checks of database services and systems to ensure availabilityMonitoring database management systems for health in terms of resources such as memory and CPU usageAssisting software developers with query design and tuningPerforming Extraction, Transacting and Loading (ETL) of data as necessaryDiagnosing and resolving database management systems in times of reduction of service or failureConsulting with system architects and software developers on database object design (tables, stored procedures, views, triggers, indices, etc.)Developing, monitoring, and maintaining any database jobs that are necessary to maintain the health of the database server(s)Ensuring that database server (and individual database) settings are appropriate
Required Qualifications/Skills:
U.S. Citizenship and Active or Interim DoD TOP SECRET clearanceActive CompTIA Security+ Certificate.Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant degree (Or experience commensurate with the qualifications).Proven years of experience as an SQL Developer or similar role.Well-versed in the use of relational database management systems such as Microsoft SQL Server.Minimum Seven (7) years' experience in Relational database design, Database administration, and/or Database server install and administration.Adept at troubleshooting issues related to database servers including performance, connections, server failures and more.Critical thinker and a team player.Good time-management skills and problem-solving skills.Great interpersonal and communication skills.
