About the JobWe have an exciting opportunity for a

Product Application Engineer

to join our Team based in one of the following countries: Algeria, Cote D’Ivoire, Morocco, Tunisia. This position is responsible for growing our Digital Building software & hardware solutions in our Geographies (Francophone Africa). The role will focus on presenting our offers (generating awareness), designing and validating architectures with the clients, and acting as a technical leader during the main execution stage. The product portfolio includes Building Management Systems Products, Fire Alarms, Access Control Solutions. An ideal candidate would have 3 years of experience in these areas.

What Will She/He Do?

Provides technical support to the field sales force by bringing deep or specific application knowledge for Building Management System.

Respond, follow up and negotiate RfQ together with the Field Sales.

Lead technical discussion and clarification with the customer acting as key contact person for all technical related topics.

Create privileged business relationships: manage and influence the relationship with your clients among which Hotels, Public Entities, Design Offices, System Integrators.

Ensure the promotion of Schneider Building management system offers (products, equipment, solutions, and services) and carry out commercial actions.

Negotiate with customers, explain technical solutions, and hold Schneider Electric positions.

Coordinate projects with the other Field Sales, particularly on the Low Voltage offer.

Manage the ecosystem of your sector in order to be identified as the point of entry into the territory for the customer, distribution partners, and internally within Schneider Electric.

Analyze the pipe project pipeline in the CRM.

To configure and put Schneider products in customer specifications. Convert existing specifications and close deals.

Work in close collaboration with the customer’s project teams, consultants, main contractor, 3rd party vendors, Schneider Electric technical leaders for sub-parts to understand the project milestones.

Produce engineering outputs such as System architecture, sub-systems interfacing points, detailed point schedules, equipment and control valve schedules, description of operations, database generation, graphics development, system hardware and software configuration and programming, etc.

Proposal of HVAC and Lighting controls strategies in various applications.

Alert on a possible non-technical feasibility as soon as identified.

Ensure the right level of satisfaction and loyalty of customers.

Keep knowledge up to date.

Support & Train EcoXpert Partners in Trainings & Operational Deployment of the solution - Participate in the skills development of the network of EcoXpert partners.

What Qualifications Will Make Her/Him Successful?

Engineering Diploma (Electrical Engineering, Energy Efficiency, Industrial automation).

Minimum 3 years of experience in Building Management Systems.

Knowledge in KNX and/or BacNet Protocol.

Communicate effectively in French & English.
