LSG, an impact agency specializing in brand building, corporate reputation management, and public affairs, is seeking a senior vice president or vice president to join our team in Washington, D.C. The senior vice president or vice president will lead our Hispanic Engagement Practice and bring a multicultural and bilingual vision to the firm’s local, regional, national, and global campaigns. Candidates must have previous experience in communications or public affairs. Prior agency or political experience is a plus. The senior vice president or vice president position is full-time with benefits and presents unique advancement opportunities for those seeking to excel and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Portfolio will include a range of projects of various scopes and sizes across multiple industries related to public affairs initiatives, communications and marketing, earned media, and/or issue advocacy campaigns. LSG’s collaborative work environment thrives on in-person interaction. This position is expected to be in the Washington, D.C. office Monday through Thursday. Responsibilities Advance LSG’s Hispanic engagement offerings, working with firm leadership to better market these offerings and shape the strategy and development of this service line. Leverage professional and personal networks to sell LSG and our service offerings, helping to grow our Hispanic Engagement client base and other firm offerings. Develop and implement a comprehensive suite of Hispanic engagement strategies that help
clients grow visibility with Spanish-language media in the U.S. and around the world, integrate Spanish-language capabilities into everyday operations, build relationships with influential Hispanic third parties, and create impact and awareness with Spanish-speaking consumers around the world. Understand issues relevant to the U.S. Hispanic community—including the regional and cultural differences and constituencies in this population—and develop messaging and campaigns that connect with the priorities of this demographic. Monitor and analyze cultural trends, demographic shifts, and policy developments impacting Hispanic audiences. Serve as a client strategist and manager, advising clients interested in engaging diverse Hispanic audiences across the United States and implementing Spanish-language and/or Hispanic engagement efforts. Maintain an active understanding of LSG service lines, client offerings, and client campaigns and collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of Hispanic engagement efforts. Oversee the development of high-quality communications materials, including messaging documents, talking points, lawmaker letters, ad copy, and press materials such as press releases, op-eds, LTEs, social media content, etc. Lead team of Spanish-speaking, multi-cultural experts in executing client deliverables, ensuring professional growth, coaching, mentoring, and providing constructive feedback. Develop creative concepts and strategies for brands to increase awareness, drive engagement, and build affinity among Spanish-language audiences. Manage and support the execution of integrated public affairs and communications campaigns and oversee the development and execution of deliverables across client accounts as needed. Qualifications Vice president candidates should have 8-12 years of experience in
communications, public affairs, or campaign experience. Senior vice president candidates should have 12-15 years of experience in communications, public affairs, or campaign experience. Candidate must have native fluency of Spanish and the ability to adapt communication styles to different cultural environments and applications. Experience leading the development of Hispanic engagement strategies and overseeing related activities and strategy execution, on behalf of a company, client, or candidate working to engage or activate diverse audiences. Experience providing counsel to senior executives in a client, political, or corporate communications setting. Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, demanding environment, providing feedback and professional development while also motivating. Proven ability to attract and maintain positive relationships that lead to new clients.
