Job Description
We are looking for a passionate Interventionist who is bilingual in both Spanish and English with the ability to engage and support all teachers and students including English learners, Special Needs, and Gifted students in an inclusive learning environment. Teaching Assistants will assist the certificated teaching staff in meeting goals of the MLC educational program.
Hourly Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with teachers and instructional leadership team to create data-driven intervention plans for middle school students.
Provide Tier 2 & 3 intervention for target students, monitor and document their progress and share with instructional staff to inform assessment and grading decisions.
Conduct diagnostic academic assessments for students as needed.
Share feedback with instructional and leadership staff to inform educational program improvements.
Share strategies for intervention with campus aides.
Participate in Student Success Team meetings to assist in coordination of intervention services for students receiving intervention services.
Participate in professional development workshops, faculty meetings, and trainings as assigned.
Create and implement a weekly schedule that includes times for instruction, assessing, evaluating, restructuring groups and planning lessons.
Support facilitation of homeroom classes including daily announcements and SEL check-ins.
Co-facilitate Advisory group utilizing SEL curriculum and lessons.
Co-facilitate Passion Project Group, supporting students in their research and project completion.
Serve as on-call substitute teacher as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) or currently enrolled as a junior or senior university student with relevant coursework.
Experience working with and motivating groups of children while maintaining school standards.
Bilingual in Spanish and English.
A desire to serve children.
