Goodrich Area Schools is seeking a grant-funded High School and Middle School Interventionist to support high school and middle school students in math and/or ELA development. This position is part of a pilot program and is funded by 23g MI Kids Back on Track grant.
Qualifications and RequirementsCurrent secondary math and/or ELA teaching certificationMust meet highly qualified status for ESSAKnowledge surrounding Math and/or ELA State Standards is essentialMust be highly qualified for the subject area and level as listedExperience in research-based instructional strategies, best practicesStrong collaborative skills are criticalA student-centered, whole child approach to teaching and learning is optimalExcellent ability to relate to students, teachers, and administratorsA self-directed thinker and problem solverWillingness to develop own professional knowledge and skills
Essential Functions and Representative Duties
Provide supplemental math/ELA intervention support for secondary studentsMonitor student progress and make instructional decisions based on a variety of data collectedCollect overall data on student growth and complete a program evaluation at the end of the school yearOther duties as assigned
Work EnvironmentWork is performed at Goodrich High School and Goodrich Middle School and may include other facilities of the district when necessary. There is limited exposure to physical risk.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This is a full-time position and is a part of a pilot program and not part of the bargaining unit. It is funded through the 23g grant for the 2024-2025 school calendar.

Building Principals

Dependent upon experience. Grant funded through 23g MI Kids Back on Track
