As a Release Manager you will play a pivotal role in re-thinking our software architecture and deployment practices to accommodate our rapidly growing platform. In this senior role, you will be responsible for guiding the successful release of the software systems that make up the Q-SYS platform. Using strategic planning and problem solving, you lead a transformation of our release process, fostering a culture of continuous delivery and collaboration. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with software development, hardware development, QA, product management, and customer support. The Release Manager will lead the charge in creating a structured, responsive, and high-performing release environment that thrives on the principles of efficiency and quality assurance.This position is based in Boulder, CO, but is also open to remote candidates.Base Pay Range Salary Range:

Develop and maintain the release management process, including coordination of all aspects of the release lifecycle.Influence our architecture roadmap to support a more flexible and responsive deployment process. Drive our embedded platform to move with the cadence of a microservice architecture.Plan release windows and cycles across a portfolio of products. Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes.Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality.Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and meet or exceed expectations.Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Software Quarterly Business Reviews.Lead and coordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment plans and checklists.Identify and define build and release process improvements to improve our CI/CD pipeline. Work closely with our DevOps, SW Engineering, and SQA teams to implement these improvements.Develop a configuration management and change management plan for our modular software codebase.Qualifications

5+ years experience as a Release Manager or Program Manager, with a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and release management processes.Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Expert-level organization skills and attention to detail.Ability to coach teams and individuals at all levels, including senior management.Experience with Agile tools and software for project management and collaboration.Familiarity with combined hardware/software product releases is highly desired.Prior experience in a technical role such as software development or QA is required. Day-to-day experience working closely with engineers and Product Managers to identify risks and blocking issues is critical to success in this role.
