The QSC SQA team is looking for a talented and experienced SQA Engineer to support software testing with our collaboration and system control products. The Senior SQA Engineer will be part of the QSC Software Quality Engineering team.

As a Test Engineer, you will participate in the creation of tests plans, test strategy, running tests, implementing build and test infrastructure, test automation, test lab ownership, ensuring good engineering practices by the team.

This position is based in Boulder, CO (Hybrid)

Base Pay Range: $96,000 - $123,000

Responsibilities

B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field

Minimum of 8 years of experience in a software quality assurance role.

Embedded Testing or Software Quality Experience: You have working experience in embedded testing in an Agile development environment. You have a strong interest in End-to-End manual or automation testing.

Proficient in Q-SYS Software and Audio Visual system setup.

Experience with multicast audio and video.

Experience using Wireshark for network packet capture and analysis.

Experience testing camera image signal processing and evaluating camera sensor noise.

Experience testing camera lenses, auto exposure, autofocus, and optical error.

Experience testing video encoder quality and video latency.

Excellent knowledge of camera imaging technology and pan, tilt, zoom camera control.

Lab Experience: You will be in charge of your test set up and will act as independent contributor for your Lab related domain.

Attention to Detail: You have a strong attention to detail and are able to think creatively and analytically.

Collaboration: You are comfortable working with others and providing regular feedback to engineers and managers to help guide the direction of product development.

Excellent verbal and written communication in English and superb organization skills.

Excellent problem-solving skills.

Self-Starter and Highly Motivated: With a strong desire to learn new technologies.

Preferred in Linux, System performance metrics (CPU, GPU and Memory), Grafana.

Nice to have: Experience with OpenCV, OpenVINO, TensorRT, Python, Lua.

Nice to have: Experience evaluating real-time AI-based, video analysis and face detection models.

Nice to have: Experience testing PoE power using a Sifos analyzer

Nice to have: Experience testing thermal design using thermocouples

Qualifications

Develop software test plans and test cases, testing and troubleshooting problems as a member of our Q-SYS software development team.

Be an active member of the local scrum team in Boulder, and act as a conduit for all project related communication with global SQA members.

Regularly attend after hours meeting each week with camera manufacturer.

Regularly validate and regression test firmware packages from camera manufacturer.

Develop automated tests using Q-SYS-based testing frameworks.

Partner with subject matter experts, QSC engineers, and third-party engineers to understand test case business requirements and apply that knowledge when developing tests of your own design.

Participate in the software development process and report issues in our defect tracking system (JIRA).

Provide excellent characterization of issues to the development team to expedite debugging.
