The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of expertise in environmental law, possess excellent advocacy and analytical skills, and have a proven track record of working independently and collaboratively within a team.DutiesRepresent clients in environmental regulatory defense and administrative enforcement matters, including cases involving CERCLA, RCRA, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, and related California statutes.Provide strategic legal advice and counseling on environmental compliance and regulatory issues.Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.Prepare and present oral arguments, written briefs, and legal documents.Negotiate settlements and manage litigation processes from inception through resolution.Collaborate with clients, experts, and other legal professionals to develop and implement effective legal strategies.Stay updated on relevant environmental laws, regulations, and industry trends.Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and legal staff.Requirements7-10 years of experience in environmental litigation and regulatory defense.Proven experience representing clients in matters involving CERCLA, RCRA, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, and related California statutes.Transactional counseling experience is a plus.Strong oral advocacy, analytical, interpersonal, and writing skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.High level of energy and enthusiasm for the practice of law.EducationJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.High level of academic achievement.CertificationsAdmission to the State Bar of California.SkillsExcellent oral and written communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proven ability to manage complex litigation cases.Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.Strong organizational and time management skills.
