The GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences (SMHS), adjacent to the hospital, is the 11th oldest medical center in the country and the 1st in the nation's capital.The mission of GWU Hospital is to provide the highest quality of healthcare, advanced medical technology, and world-class service to its patients in an academic medical center dedicated to education and research.Main tasks include:Project CoordinatorHas responsibility and accountability for the management and direction of the financial and business activities of Perioperative Services. Monitors expenditures and revenue to ensure compliance with departmental financial goals. Provides direction to the operational personnel of Perioperative Services material management and assists with data collection both clinically and financially for Value Based Analysis Committee. Overall responsibility and accountability for improving the quality and efficiency of supply inventory, order, receipt, distribution and stocking, inputting charges and the satisfaction of internal and external customers. Ensures integration of the OR Supply Chain with information systems, distributors, vendors and other hospital departments.Benefits, Special Incentives & Perks:

QualificationsBS/BSN preferredExperience supporting a surgical department including patient record maintenance, communication with perioperative unit for record issue, and troubleshooting.OR experience preferredMust have basic hardware, software, and networking skills, and should also have knowledge of all current Microsoft Operating Systems and Office products.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.Effective interpersonal skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality.Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities.
