Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Health Data Lead to oversee the management, analysis, and interpretation of health data within our organization. The Health Data Lead will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and security of health data, as well as extracting valuable insights to inform decision-making and improve healthcare outcomes. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a data-driven professional to contribute to the advancement of healthcare delivery and population health management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in health informatics, biostatistics, epidemiology, computer science, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

Experience in health data management, analytics, or related role, with demonstrated expertise in data analysis, interpretation, and reporting.

Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, Python), database management systems (e.g., SQL), and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Knowledge of healthcare regulations, data privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA), and industry standards for health data management and security.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Certification in health informatics, data analytics, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities:

Data Management:

Oversee the collection, storage, and organization of health data from various sources, including electronic health records (EHRs), claims data, surveys, and registries. Ensure data quality, consistency, and completeness through data validation, cleaning, and standardization processes.

Data Analysis:

Perform advanced statistical analyses and data mining techniques to identify patterns, trends, and correlations within health data. Conduct predictive modeling, risk stratification, and outcome analysis to support population health management and clinical decision-making.

Data Interpretation:

Interpret and communicate findings from health data analyses to key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, administrators, policymakers, and researchers. Translate data insights into actionable recommendations and strategic initiatives to improve healthcare quality and efficiency.

Healthcare Reporting:

Develop and produce regular reports, dashboards, and visualizations to track key performance indicators, quality metrics, and population health outcomes. Customize reports to meet the needs of different audiences and stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of information.

Data Governance:

Establish and enforce data governance policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, data privacy laws, and industry standards. Implement data security measures to protect sensitive health information and mitigate data breaches or security risks.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical informatics, IT, quality improvement, and research, to support data-driven initiatives and projects. Serve as a subject matter expert on health data analytics and contribute expertise to interdisciplinary teams.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and innovation in health data management and analytics. Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies in healthcare analytics and recommend strategies for enhancing data capabilities and performance.

Training and Education:

Provide training and support to staff on data management tools, techniques, and best practices. Promote data literacy and analytical skills among healthcare professionals through training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Compensation | Min: $95,000 Max: $125,000

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
