This leader will oversee the development, implementation and oversight of efforts, planning, organizing, and monitoring of all operations of Bed Management.Qualifications:Required:Master's Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, or Public AdministrationExperience working in an Acute Care facilityPreferred:Accounting or Legal BackgroundMinimum of ten years successful senior healthcare management and financial leadership experience, preferably within an academic medical centerDemonstrated experience in effectively managing all aspects of clinical operations with particular experience with financial performance in a complex matrixed healthcare organizationDemonstrated experience developing and implementing strategic business opportunities that produce new and continuing sources of revenue for the HospitalDemonstrated experience delivering exceptional quality and financial performanceDemonstrated interpersonal and communication skillsDemonstrated coaching and mentoring skills to effectively develop subordinatesEssential Functions:Supports the systems overall mission of patient care, community outreach, research and educationTakes a leadership role in the development of patient care programs, policies, and procedures that describe how patients nursing care needs are assessed, evaluated and metParticipates in the development and implementation of the plan for providing nursing care to those patients requiring nursing care, applying the knowledge and skills necessary to make decisions regarding provision of care appropriate to the ages of the patients served, i.e., infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatricGathers, assesses and acts on information regarding patient and family satisfaction in planning and designing servicesResponsible for implementing an effective and ongoing program to monitor, evaluate, and improve the quality of care delivered to patients for the areas of responsibilityResponsible for coordinating all business operations, including financial activities for the effective management and operation of the hospitalEngages in strategic planning for associated programs and departments and coordinates related activities of the Vice President's officeProvides expert counsel regarding clinical operations and strategies for its growth and development and is responsible for the development, interpretation, coordination and administration of policies on business and clinical operations, nursing, social work, pharmacy, hospital networks and managed care and contractingOther Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
