Bridge Project Engineer , you’ll play a crucial role in the design, analysis, construction, and maintenance of various structures, such as buildings, bridges, dams and other infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:Develop detailed design plans, drawings, and specifications for bridges and related structures.Provide technical expertise for specialized design tasks.Perform and oversee the day-to-day technical design tasks associated with a project.Attend routine project design meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and maintain accurate and complete project files.Coordinate regularly with the technical staff to complete the project within the assigned project budget and on schedule.Understand all aspects of preparing bridge design plans and construction bid packages.Complete field inspections and reports for bridge and culvert inspections.Effectively complete assignments related to bridge inspection, bridge load rating and analysis, and all aspects of concrete/steel bridge and foundation design.Develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.Coordinate with reviewers and other disciplines to ensure accuracy and quality of work.Work collaboratively with other team members, consultants, and our clients.Provide technical support during the construction phase, which may involve addressing design-related queries from contractors, conducting site visits, and reviewing construction progress to ensure it aligns with the design intent.If you're passionate about engineering, apply today to join a team dedicated to shaping the future of transportation!RequirementsEducation & Experience:B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field (MS preferred)10 - 15 years minimum of transportation experience, structures/bridge design experience preferredProfessional Engineering License (PE) or ability to obtain it.Experience with MicroStation, STAAD, Bridge Design Software preferred.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Exhibit behaviors that align with the Fisher Values: Aspire to Excellence, Teamwork and Respect, Owning our Results and Empowered Employees.Establish and maintain strong client relationships adhering to the Fisher Clientship philosophy.Aspire to excellence, consistently seek to improve, and demonstrate high-quality work at all levels.Team player: collaborate effectively at all levels; treat coworkers, clients, and vendors with respect in all interactions; seek to listen effectively, understand others, and build trust.Own and accept responsibility for results.Honest, transparent, and trustworthy.Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn.Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Ability to consistently demonstrate sound judgement.Excellent and professional communication skills both written and verbal.Excellent organizational, project management and time management skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Strong attention to detail.Exhibit flexibility with assignments, workflow, or project changes.Listen and respond to feedback in a positive manner.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word and Excel.This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
