Postdoc Fellow at USDA (Beltsville, MD)

The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, Methods Application of Food Composition Laboratory (MAFCL), in Beltsville, Maryland is seeking a post-doc associate in Analytical Chemistry or a closely related field. The candidate will be responsible for the identification and quantitation of the secondary metabolites/nutrient compounds in different matrices using GC/MS and LC/MS.Required Experience:Analytical chemistry expertise, specifically LC/MS and/or GC/MS.Desired Experience:Expertise with mass spectrometry-based metabolomics including experimental design, raw data processing, and related metabolomic software.Expertise in extraction techniques like solid phase extraction, liquid-liquid extraction, solid phase micro extraction (SPME), fractionation, isolation, and purification.The experience with Agilent 8890-7250 GC-QTOFMS, Thermo Scientific Q-Exactive, IDX, LTQ-Orbitrap Series, Waters Vion Q-TOF high resolution mass spectrometry is a plus.Contact
