Public Finance Attorney

A law firm in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking an experienced Public Finance Attorney with a strong background in bond or issuer's counsel for tax-exempt finance or experience with tax credits or municipal law. The ideal candidate will possess excellent academic credentials, strong research and writing skills, and a keen attention to detail. An LLM is preferred and will be given extra consideration.Duties:Serve as bond or issuer's counsel in tax-exempt finance transactions.Provide expert legal advice on public finance matters, including tax credits and municipal law.Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on complex financial and regulatory issues.Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents related to public finance transactions.Collaborate with clients, financial institutions, and government agencies to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.Monitor and interpret changes in laws and regulations affecting public finance.Prepare and present legal opinions, memoranda, and reports on public finance matters.Manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently, ensuring high-quality legal service.Requirements:Proven experience as bond or issuer's counsel in tax-exempt finance or related fields such as tax credits or municipal law.Excellent academic credentials and strong research and writing skills.Detail-oriented with a meticulous approach to legal analysis and documentation.An LLM (Master of Laws) degree is preferred and will be given extra consideration.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective client relationships.Education:Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.An LLM (Master of Laws) degree is preferred.Certifications:Admission to practice law in the relevant state (Arizona preferred).Skills:Expertise in public finance, including tax-exempt finance, tax credits, and municipal law.Exceptional legal research and writing capabilities.Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.Proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex financial documents.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proven ability to collaborate with clients, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies.
