A law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate Attorney to join their Bond Practice. This role involves providing expert legal advice on the formation and financing of community facilities, municipal districts, and similar legal entities, as well as advising clients on various types of bonds and public finance vehicles. The successful candidate will have substantial experience in public finance and bond work, with the opportunity to work across a broad range of legal practices, including public finance, utility financing, and assessments for special districts.Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide legal advice on the formation of community facilities districts, assessment districts, municipal water districts, nonprofit corporations, and other legal financing vehicles.Advise clients on constitutional and legal constraints on financings.Counsel clients on serving as bond or financing counsel for various types of bonds, including general obligation bonds, certificates of participation, lease revenue bonds, special tax bonds, special assessment bonds, private activity bonds, industrial development bonds, revenue bonds, water and wastewater financing, and airport financings.Collaborate with other legal practices, including but not limited to: Cannabis, Public Finance, Real Estate, Labor & Employment, Environmental Law, and Public Safety.Research and analyze laws on complex legal issues, drafting briefs and legal documents.Analyze and summarize legal documents such as contracts, providing recommendations for amendments.Perform discovery, reviewing electronic and physical documents for litigation preparation.Conduct due diligence for contracts and agreements.Analyze probable case outcomes based on legal precedents, assessing potential legal liabilities.Provide legal advice on business transactions, claims, and other legal obligations.Represent clients in court or before government agencies, preparing and presenting legal arguments.Develop strategies for cases, evaluating evidence, interviewing clients and witnesses, and gathering relevant information.Conduct legal research, examining public and legal records to offer opinions or identify issues.Maintain consistent communication with clients under the supervision of a Supervising Attorney.Supervise Legal Secretaries and Paralegals as needed.Perform administrative and management functions related to legal practice.Complete special projects and other related duties as assigned.Ensure compliance with firm policies and procedures.Requirements:

Experience:

Minimum of 8+ years of related experience in public finance and bond practice.Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certification:

Active license to practice law in the state of California.Skills:

Substantial experience in public finance and bond counsel.Strong legal research and writing skills.Ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.Proficiency in legal software, tools, and research platforms.Strong persuasion, negotiation, and litigation skills.Ability to handle multiple cases and meet tight deadlines.Team player with the ability to collaborate across legal specialties.
