As a Senior Associate Attorney at Aleshire & Wynder, LLP, you will have the exciting opportunity to engage in a wide range of legal activities. You will consult with clients, providing them with expert guidance on legal best practices and offering invaluable legal support.Your responsibilities will include:Providing legal advice on the formation of community facilities districts, assessment districts, community services districts, municipal water districts, nonprofit corporations and similar legal financing vehiclesAdvising on constitutional and legal constraints on financingsAdvising clients on servicing as bond or financing counsel for general obligation bonds, certificates of participation, lease revenue bonds, special tax bonds, special assessment bonds, private activity bonds, industrial development bonds, revenue bonds, water and wastewater financing, and airport financingsResearching and analyzing the law on complex issues and writing briefs for submission to a Supervising Attorney(s)Analyzing and summarizing complicated legal documents, including contracts, and suggesting alterations to those documentsPerforming discovery of various electronically stored data and hard copies of information in preparation for litigationPerforming due diligence in legal matters concerning contracts and agreementsAnalyze probable outcomes of cases, using knowledge of legal precedents to reveal potential legal liabilities for our clientsAdvise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligationsRepresent clients in court or before government agenciesEvaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of casesGather evidence to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a caseSearch for and examine public and other legal records to write opinions or identify complexitiesConfer with colleagues with specialties in appropriate areas of legal issue to establish and verify bases for legal proceedingsShould maintain communication with a client concerning representation as needed under the discretion of the Supervising Attorney(s)Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of lawComplete special projects as assignedPerform related duties as assignedSupervise Legal Secretaries and Paralegals as neededMaintain compliance with all company policies and proceduresMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
