Plant Controller

will lead the Indianapolis location operations accounting and finance functions, including financial statement preparation / balance sheet oversight. This role is also responsible for all business planning and analysis activities, and will partner with Sales and Operations on all business issues and provide necessary analysis for decision making, including customer / product margin analysis, inventory management, capital investment analysis, productivity tracking and analysis, etc. Provide insight and thought leadership into business and cost trends and recommend ongoing improvements. Responsibilities :

Own monthly accounting close process and explanation of monthly financial performance for location and coordinate with Corporate Accounting to ensure that sales and costs are recorded accurately.Own monthly review Balance Sheet for business to ensure that all balances are appropriate and are reconciled on a monthly basis. Participate in year-end audits. Ensure that accounting controls are in place for business.Lead in the preparation of monthly financial reporting, analysis, and presentations for review with Plant/Finance leadership.Proactively identify, analyze and communicate cost trends and issues affecting the business.Participate in the development, measurement, and reporting of key business metrics across all areas of the business.Lead annual budget process and interim business forecasting processes for business.Provide leadership in developing cost accounting process to provide a more thorough understanding of product costs.Provide customer / product margin analysis; pricing guidance.Assist in the development of capital projects, including project justification and post implementation reporting.Conduct regular analysis of inventory levels and turns; review SLOB inventory and ensure appropriate E&O reserve.Provide adhoc support for operations or business analyses. (This may include analysis outside of the plant and specifically for the SBU.)

Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Accounting, or Finance required. Master’s Degree a plus.7+ years of accounting and financial analysis experience required and 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing industry.Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections with a strong attention to detail.Must have strong technical and analytical skills with solid cost accounting background.Ability to handle multiple priorities with attention to detail and an ability to work independently.Demonstrated ability to make solid, objective, ethical decisions and solve problems.Ease in communicating and partnering with all levels in the organization.Demonstrable experience with PCs, financial spreadsheets and accounting software (experience working with SAP and COGNOS a plus).Proficient with Microsoft Office products.CPA or CMA a plus.PLZ Corp offers a robust suite of benefits including:Company paid Life and Short-Term disability.Voluntary benefits including additional life, disability, and hospital/accident insurance.401k & company provided match.Paid Time Off.Bonus incentive programs (Note, bonuses are subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.)All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status or other protected status.
