PurposeDrive the development and submission of compelling proposals for aerospace and defense projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and strategic business objectives.The RoleAs the Proposal Manager, you will lead the messaging and generation of all proposals and marketing materials, playing a pivotal role in customer, partner, and industry engagement. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and ensure timely and compliant submissions.Proposals:· Lead the development and submission of comprehensive proposals for aerospace and defense projects.· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information, ensuring proposals meet client requirements and company standards.· Develop proposal schedules, outlines, and compliance matrices to ensure timely and compliant submissions.· Create and implement a formal proposal response process across multiple stakeholders in programs, BD, and Legal.· Conduct thorough reviews of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other solicitation documents.· Coordinate and manage proposal efforts, including writing, editing, and producing final documents.· Maintain a repository of proposal content, templates, and best practices.· Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand needs and tailor proposals accordingly.· Monitor and report on proposal progress and outcomes, providing regular updates to senior management.Strategy:· Develop and continuously refine a comprehensive Aerospace and Defense BD strategy in collaboration with the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO).· Define near-, intermediate-, and long-term objectives and strategies.· Assess the competitive landscape and regulatory environment, identifying gaps and opportunities.· Deconstruct strategy into complementary account or regional strategies that align with broader objectives.Execution:· Execute tactical plans aligned with account strategies, focusing on priority captures and relationship management.· Assess funding and feasibility of opportunities, guiding pricing and milestone approaches.· Lead partner and subcontractor negotiations and management.· Fulfill additional responsibilities as needed to support business growth and development.Basic Qualifications· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.· Minimum of 5 years of experience in proposal development within the aerospace and defense industry.· Proven track record of managing complex proposal efforts and winning significant contracts.· Strong understanding of government procurement processes and regulations.· Secret ClearancePreferred Qualifications· Top Secret Clearance· Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) proposal processes and infrastructure development.Work Environment· You will operate in a dynamic environment that requires strategic thinking, collaboration, and proactive engagement with stakeholders across various levels.
