Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 333-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus including at a network of Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.

Job Role Summary

The mission of Fathers and Families Center (FFC) is "To equip fathers and empower families to ensure children thrive." The vision is that "All fathers have what they need to transform their children's destiny. We accomplish this by working with fathers and their families to help them to be better partners, providers, and parents.

The Fund Development Director will be responsible for planning and implementing a comprehensive fundraising program that includes major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, planned giving, and special events. The successful candidate will work closely with - and function as a member of - the Executive Team to develop and implement fundraising goals and strategies to support the mission of Fathers and Families Center.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan to meet the organization's annual revenue goals.• Maintain and further develop a donor/prospect portfolio of your own; this position serves as the chief gift solicitor for the organization.• Maintain annual fund calendar and execute the deployment thereof.• Identify and cultivate major gift prospects, as well as corporate and foundation donors through a multi -channel approach. Engage the CEO and board of directors when appropriate to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward these relationships.• Plan and execute special events that engage donors and raise funds for the organization. The organization currently has one large special event fundraiser.• Collaborate with the Executive Team to develop and execute effective donor communications and marketing materials that includes the "Case for Support."• Work closely with the Executive Team to develop fundraising strategies and goals that leverage cross-departmental collaboration (i.e., work with marketing on integrated strategies and collateral; coordinate with programming to utilize our unique services).• Monitor and analyze fundraising data to evaluate performance and adjust strategies as needed.• Establish and maintain a stewardship matrix with impact reporting; the stewardship process should involve the CEO, board leadership, other staff, and volunteers.• Develop and manage gift recognition policies, procedures and practices for donor retention and growth.• Establish systems, processes, and tools to maximize fundraising capacity including overseeing donor management and donor cultivation databases, development dashboard and reporting.• Engage and mobilize lead volunteers to engage in effective solicitations and other fundraising activities, particularly major donor engagement.• Although not directly coordinating the organization's grant-seeking program, coordinate with the Manager of Grants Administration to identify new opportunities, steward relationships, and ensure timely and effective reporting.• Coordinate site tours and visits to the Center to cultivate donors and illustrate the impact of giving.

Job Requirements• Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, or a related field; master's degree preferred• Five to seven years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a proven track record of success in major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, and special events.• Experience with fundraising software and donor databases.
