Fund Development Director - Fathers and FamiliesThe mission of Fathers and Families Center (FFC) is “To equip fathers and empower families to ensure children thrive.” The vision is that “All fathers have what they need to transform their children’s destiny. We accomplish this by working with fathers and their families to help them to be better partners, providers, and parents.

The Fund Development Director will be responsible for planning and implementing a comprehensive fundraising program that includes major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, planned giving, and special events. The successful candidate will work closely with – and function as a member of – the Executive Team to develop and implement fundraising goals and strategies to support the mission of Fathers and Families Center.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan to meet the organization’s annual revenue goals.

Maintain and further develop a donor/prospect portfolio; this position serves as the chief gift solicitor for the organization.

Maintain annual fund calendar and execute the deployment thereof.

Identify and cultivate major gift prospects, as well as corporate and foundation donors through a multi-channel approach. Engage the CEO and board of directors when appropriate.

Plan and execute special events that engage donors and raise funds for the organization.

Collaborate with the Executive Team to develop and execute effective donor communications and marketing materials.

Monitor and analyze fundraising data to evaluate performance and adjust strategies as needed.

Establish and maintain a stewardship matrix with impact reporting.

Develop and manage gift recognition policies, procedures, and practices for donor retention and growth.

Engage and mobilize lead volunteers in effective solicitations and fundraising activities.

Coordinate with the Manager of Grants Administration to identify new opportunities and ensure effective reporting.

Coordinate site tours and visits to the Center to cultivate donors.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.

Five to seven years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a proven track record of success in major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, and special events.

Experience with fundraising software and donor databases.
