About the PositionPosition DescriptionThe Assistant Director of Performance Excellence will support the Director in leading initiatives to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and quality across the Enterprise. This role involves implementing strategies, driving performance improvements, and fostering and developing a culture of continuous improvement. The Assistant Director will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and achieve operational goals. The Assistant Director will be a “structured disruptor” to influence transformational change.Key Responsibilities:Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other structured methodologies to identify and eliminate inefficiencies across Enterprise value streams.Support the development and implement process improvement projects and initiatives.Monitor and report on the progress of improvement initiatives.Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure operational performance.Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.Ensure alignment of operational goals with business objectives.Support change management efforts to ensure successful implementation of improvement initiatives.Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gain buy-in and support.Provide training, coach, and support to teams on new processes and tools.Support the development and implement quality assurance programs to maintain high standards.Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.Address quality issues and implement corrective actions as needed.Lead and mentor a team of performance excellence professionals.Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.Minimum Requirements5+ years of experience in performance excellence, process improvement, or related roles. 8+ years preferred.2+ years of people management experience required.Critical SkillsProven experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Track record of driving operational improvements and achieving results.EducationBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field of study, or an equivalent level of professional experience required. Master’s degree highly desired.Physical RequirementsGeneral office demands.
