To provide direction, oversight and leadership in producing the highest level of quality in a safe working environment. The position will include developing tools to monitor KPIs, implementing new processes, responsibility for maintaining compliance with applicable manufacturing, safety and quality standards.Responsibilities
Maintain and drive improvements to the existing ISO9001:2015 QMS
Management representative in customer and external auditsChair ISO management reviewsConduct internal audits across the QMSDirect and conduct Corrective Actions and Non-Conforming actions as requiredDrive continual improvement projects and assess effectiveness of actionsDevelop and track KPIs with input from Management
Maintain and drive improvements to the existing Safety Policy
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc.)Conduct monthly refresher safety trainings for plant personnelResponsible for ensuring incident investigations are completed in a satisfactory manor
Manage QC lab and technicians
Responsible for maintaining procedures and processes of the QC lab introduced by the Technical ManagerResponsible for oversight and training of lab technicians in testing of raw, in-process and finished goodsResponsible for maintaining calibration and PM records for lab equipment
Generate and submit PPAP documentation on customer requestOversee on-boarding process of new employeesRequirements
Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Chemistry, Polymer Science, or other manufacturing areas. Experience may be considered in lieu of educationLeadership experience in a quality or manufacturing position is preferredISO9001 Lead auditor certification (willing to provide training for the right candidate)Knowledge of Six SigmaProficient computer/software skills – MS Office suiteAbility to interact well with a variety of personality typesHigh degree of attention to detail, self-motivation, and ability to problem solve on the flyCommensurate with experience + Benefits (401K w/matching, Health/Vision/Dental insurance, PTO)
