The Gig:

Virgin Voyages is looking for a Rockstar Specialist to join our rapidly-growing MICE team to support our Wedding and Special Events program. As the "face" of Weddings, you'll be responsible for managing all aspects of the Wedding lifecycle.

This role features a hybrid of sales and operations, with a focus on delivering a Rockstar experience to Sailors who choose Virgin Voyages for their nuptials. The Wedding Specialist will be responsible for leading client discussions, delivering exemplary customer service, driving revenue via strategic selling, and assisting in workflow/process optimization.

Our ideal candidate is capable of building strong customer relations, and feels equally comfortable promoting our sales efforts and partnering with others to build the desired onboard experience. As we expand our business, strong organization skill & the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment will be essential. Travel will be required to support onboard execution, and makes up about 30% of this role.

This gig is based at VVHQ - our swanky Virgin Voyages Head Office in Plantation, FL where we follow a hybrid work environment. We can't wait to 'sea' you in person during our Collaboration Days, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, while you enjoy Mondays and Fridays' as remote days.

What You'll Be Up To:

• Manage inbound inquiries and maintain SLA requirements to ensure optimal client experience• Meet with interested parties to understand their needs, and strategically sell our Wedding Packages based on their feedback• Proactively upsell to drive revenue, and identify further add-on opportunities based on client feedback• Partner with Internal Partners (Revenue, Circles) to oversee cabin allotment/holds and creation of Circle Shells• Manage manifest in alignment with designated processes* Oversee the execution of special voyages & events onboard to ensure seamless implementation* Provide onboard support to troubleshoot any issues or concerns that may arise and to ensure smooth operations* Assist in managing the day-to-day programming needs identified in the Group/Wedding contract and/or negotiated or requested outside the contract by the client* Manage manifest, requested changes to cabin allotment and/or attrition, and contractual changes/addendums as needed* Partner with Sales team to proactively identify & support potential client needs outside of the scope of our normal operations* Assist in conceptualization and creation of new value add-ons for Groups/Weddings to drive additional revenue opportunities* Work closely with our shoreside and shipboard partners (with an emphasis on Hotel Operations, Entertainment, and F&B Departments) before, during, and post-event to ensure all programming requirements are met & delivery with highest possible level of service* Build and maintain close relationships with our Terminal Operations team, port agents, and shipping/logistics partners to foster open lines of communication• Support Terminal Operations on special voyages & events bringing sailor experiences to life (DJ music, step-and-repeat, decorations)* Responsible for preparing, maintaining, and delivering all operational documentation, including but not limited to: Planning Documents, Grids, etc. to convey both high-level needs and daily scheduled events of the program* Maintain all internal project management tools for all Groups/Weddings to ensure alignment with Groups Sales team* Build strong client relationship at every step of the planning process & ensure high levels of service throughout.* Travel and assist with Group/Wedding programs, and work with shipboard teams to ensure program is executed as planned* Participate in & lead site inspection sailings and day visits* Partner with Accounting & all pertinent team to support post-voyage reconciliation as needed* Lead and/or contribute meaningfully to event-related meetings and other departmental/staff meeting* Perform other job-related functions as assigned

SuperPowersRequired:

* Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year college or university preferred* Excellent written & verbal communication skills with both internal and external partners* Ability to multitask and manage various projects simultaneously* Ability to independently manage tasks with a keen attention to detail and a high level of follow-through* Detail-oriented with the ability to identify and and solve problems with creative, out-of-the-box solutions as required* Advanced proficiency with Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, and Docs) and/or Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)* High level of organization and process-driven approaches to your workload* Seaware experience a plus* Past experience with JIRA and/or comparable project management software preferred* 1 - 3 years of applicable cruise experience with a focus in large groups and/or charters strongly preferred
