Description

The RIVERSPORT private event department gives visitors the opportunity to experience the Boathouse District in a unique way, by hosting a wedding or event in our unique venues along the Oklahoma River. The Private Event Coordinator works directly under the supervision of the

Wedding and Event Specialist

to ensure that weddings, corporate meetings, charity events, etc.. run smoothly and to the satisfaction of our clients. This is a part-time position.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:Assist with details such as; decorating, catering and bar service, as neededPrepare event space for setup including arranging tables, chairs, cleaning as necessaryProvide event support by working with caterers, vendors, security guards and/or entertainmentEnsure that audio/video equipment is set up for events and that client is clear on their operationLiaise with clients and guests to identify their needs and ensure customer satisfactionProactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems on event dayGreet, acknowledge and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.Qualifications

Core Skills/Qualifications/Requirements:

Wedding coordination experience preferredExcellent verbal communicationDetail-orientedTeam player and communicate well with othersAbility to maintain a professional demeanorCustomer serviceAbility to multitaskConflict managementOrganizationHigh School GraduateMust be able to work in a fast-paced environmentMust have a flexible schedule including; nights, weekends and holidaysPhysical Demands:

Must be able to stand, crawl, crouch, twist, push, and lift for brief and/or extended periods of timeMust be able to walk comfortably throughout the course of the day over various surfacesMust be able to work in all weather conditions including exposure to direct sunlight.Must be able to lift, carry, move, and/or position items weighing up to or in excess of 50 pounds.Must be able to lift and lower 25 pounds above shoulder level
