The

Wedding & Events Coordinator

plays a pivotal role in attracting and retaining potential event customers to the Port Gamble facilities. Coordinates and is responsible for the smooth functioning of events to ensure a positive customer experience and a company representative for our facilities and visitors to Port Gamble.

Primary Responsibilities:

Wedding related:

sales; show facilities to interested parties; book weddings, receptions and rehearsals; work on-site during weddings to ensure customer satisfaction; manage sound equipment as needed; set up and break down for weddings; rehearsal coordination; prompting if needed; assist in placing appropriate signage for weddings, promote Port Gamble facilities at wedding shows; maintain wedding calendar; assist caterers as needed; fill propane tanks as needed; buffing of floors & other venue related responsibilities as assigned.Event related: maintain schedule of events and online calendar, bring unique and varied events to town, small & large scale, assist in other projects related to the development and growth of Port Gamble, manage sound equipment as needed, assist in placing appropriate signage for events, assist caterers as needed; fill propane tanks as needed; buffing of floors & other venue related responsibilities as assigned.Administration/Marketing related:

assist in creating and distributing marketing materials encouraging people to use Port Gamble facilities; maintain website; maintain photo database; coordinate special requests with other Port Gamble team members, answering phone call/visitor questions, complete contracts per event, Social Media outreach and promotion, maintenance and light cleaning of venues as needed.Required Qualifications:

High School diploma required. Associate degree (or higher) in a business or customer service-related/hospitality field preferred.One year of business-related experience in special events coordinationStrong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with potential clients, visitors, employees, and tenants with a core value of providing superior customer service.Proficient in MS Office, especially Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, Outlook, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator as well as social media products.Must be highly organized to handle a variety of activities (heavy multitasking required) in a timely manner.

Pay & Benefits:

Our pay range for this position is $35,800 to $53,600 based on knowledge and experience. This position is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan.
