Their ideal candidate has experience working in at both a startup and larger tech company and is eager to apply those experiences to build something from scratch using what they know. The role offers advancement to lead or manager level (depending on the candidate). They are onsite 2 days a week.If you are looking for a collaborative environment where your expertise will make a significant impact, please apply!ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain robust backend services and systemsArchitect and optimize data pipelines to manage and process large-scale data efficientlyCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate diverse services and data sourcesImplement and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes for scalable solutionsEnsure high performance, security, and availability of backend infrastructureDiagnose and resolve complex issues in both development and production environmentsContribute to architectural discussions, bringing innovative ideas and solutions to the teamRequirements6-12 years of experience as a Backend Engineer with a strong focus on data engineeringProficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, Node, Rust, Go, or similarExperience with building APIs end to end and event-driven software or MicroservicesExperience with large scale data systems and various tools such as Kafka, ETL, Spark, PySpark, MongoDB, Kubeflow, Snowflake, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch, or similarHands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestrationExpertise in AWS cloud services, Terraform was a big plusExperience with MongoDB and PostgreSQLExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaborativelyStrong communication skills and the ability to contribute to architectural decisionsPreferred:Previous experience at both startup environments and larger tech companies like Twitter or MetaDemonstrated ability to design and build systems from scratchExperience building data infrastructure from scratch at a fast-growing startup with an understanding of data modeling, ontologies, and knowledge graphs.Interested in hearing more?
