PositionAs part of the merchandising team, you will take responsibility for merchandising forecasting and planning activities to successfully grow our business. To optimize the target goals of sales, profit, and product rotation, this position oversees defining and driving the category plans with maximizing inventory control.

Forecast OTB PlanDevelop seasonal buying budgets and monitor sales performance by each category on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.

Forecasting and Planning

Analyze sales data, forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and collaborate with other departments such as buying, marketing, and sales to optimize product availability and sales performance.

Analyze historical sales data and market trends to predict future demand for specific products.

Ensure the most profitable decisions are made on defined assortments by maximizing owned inventory and defining a controlled sales flow, with careful attention to margin and stock rotation.

Lead all planning processes including preparing seasonal OTB plans, financial sales, merchandise margin, and inventory, consistent with the company's goals, to support assortment development and buying needs. Develop plans for different seasons, considering the unique aspects of the luxury market and the specific characteristics of Loro Piana products. Provide accurate forecasting on key financial metrics and effectively communicate any risks based on sales trends, marketing, and product performance. Use data and analytics tools to gain insights into customer behavior, product performance, and market trends.

InventoryEnsure an appropriate level of stock for each product, considering lead times, production cycles, and seasonality. Plan and analyze seasonal product delivery performance and stock allocation with regular inventory reports. Monitor sell-through performance and derive strategies and actions to meet market needs, providing rationale and insights on sales trends and customer preferences.

Oversee merchandising allocation regarding product performance, including accountability for allocation and ordering processes, item planning, and delivery performance. Plan and implement stock control management, setting effective strategies to ensure optimal cross-channel stock control. Ensure stock re-allocation and consolidation between channels/stores as required. Support in the modification and development of the company’s inventory management system.

PricingWork closely with the buying team and HQ pricing team to coordinate retail prices at the SKU level for each collection with optimized regional pricing strategies. Make any subsequent/ad hoc price adjustments due to updates from competitors, special promotions, events, or changes in corporate strategy.

OthersResponsible for timely and accurate sales reports (weekly, monthly, yearly, and seasonal) with merchandise analysis. Collaborate with various departments, such as sales and marketing, to ensure a cohesive strategy that aligns with the brand's image and goals. Handle issues and continuously improve internal and external processes and procedures. Manage ad-hoc assignments as required.

Profile

At least 8 years of merchandising experience.

Proficient in analytical review, sensitive to numbers, with extensive work experience in retail companies.

Strong background in financial forecasting insights.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with business partners, with proficiency in English and Korean (both verbal and written).
